Parking regulations are in effect to create a fair and safe parking environment. Citations issued by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø are written under the Maryland Uniform Citation Code and carry the weight and importance of citations issued by any law enforcement agency in the state of Maryland. Yes, everyone is required to purchase a permit if they park on campus. Commuting students may purchase the Evening Only permit that allows parking in the Parking Garage and Main/East Campus lots from 4:45 p.m. until 7:45 a.m. Monday through Friday, except the Maggs lot. Parking in Maggs lot is from 4:45 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

No, meters are intended for visitors with short-term parking and must have money added to the meter to be valid. Parking permits are not valid for parking in the metered spaces.

You may purchase your permit online by accessing the the . You will only be able to select permit types for which you are eligible based on your class standing. If a particular permit type has been sold out at the time of your purchase, it will be noted on the screen and you may select another option.

All vehicles must park in a valid parking spot and only for the parking lot the vehicle is registered to park in. If no one is in the vehicle, it is considered a safety violation and a prohibited parking citation may be issued.

Shuttles make a continuous loop, with pickups and drop-offs every 15-25 minutes for the Avery Street parking Lot. Buses operate from 7 a.m.-8:30 p.m. and vans from 8:30 p.m.-12:15 a.m. during the semester (Note: Shuttle service ends at 6:15 p.m. Fridays.)

Parking Services partnered with T2 and started using the new parking permit and enforcement system in December, to issue our permits and parking citations. T2 was founded in 1994 with a goal of making parking better. Since then they have aligned with many universities, municipalities, healthcare facilities and more. We are excited about our new partnership with T2.

For those receiving a citation with a registered vehicle (or a previously registered vehicle) in our system, you will receive an email notifying you of the citation. If you do not have a registered vehicle in our system, you will receive a printed copy that will be placed on your windshield.; All citations issued are researched by Parking Services to verify vehicle ownership and what further action will need to be taken.

No, citations will not be automatically voided for inaccurate license plate information. The purchaser is responsible for the accuracy of the license plate information at the time the parking permit is obtained. Appeal requests for citations must be submitted through the Parking Portal within 10 calendar days of issuance to be considered for an appeal.

2. Move to the Citations section. Enter the citation # and follow the prompts.

Students/Employees may pay for permits at the time of purchase by credit/debit card. Student also have the choice to have the permit added to their student account. Full-time employees may also payroll deduct the cost of the permit.

Citations may be paid for through the Parking Services Portal within the first 10 days of issuance. After 10 days in the portal, citations will move to the student or employee account. Once the charge is on the GullNet account, payments can be made at the Cashiers Office by cash, check, or Money order. If a credit card payment is preferred, those payments will need to be made in GullNet through our CashNet/Transact vendor.

Parking is “Plates Out”. When parking on campus, drivers will be required to park with their license plate faces the driving lane so that it can be properly scanned. What that means to the campus: if you have a vehicle with one license plate, the back of the vehicle will need to face the parking lane – no backing in or pulling through. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø also follows Maryland law in that all license plates must be properly affixed to the vehicle. This means that license plates lying on the dashboard of a vehicle will be cited for not parking Plates Out. This will allow for greater efficiencies in regard to enforcement.

Students may only register one vehicle for their permit. Employees may register up to three vehicles for their permit but only one may be parked on campus at a time.

Visitors coming to campus Monday – Friday must register for a permit through the Parking Services Portal. Visit the Parking Services website and look for the Visitor & Off-Campus Parking Information section. Within this section is a link to our portal. The visitor will need to create a Guest login by following the prompts. Visitor parking is free of charge but they must complete the process of “purchasing” a permit.
