My educational philosophy emphasizes the critical role of academic libraries in shaping students' college experiences. Instructional librarians promote information literacy from the moment students arrive on campus until they graduate, aiming to equip them with lifelong skills. Effective library instruction must be integrated into the curriculum, much like other essential skills such as critical thinking and quantitative literacy. This approach ensures that information literacy is reinforced throughout a student's academic experience. While program development takes time, I also support various library instruction requests, aligning my efforts with the library's mission and goals. My teaching strategy, guided by the IDEA framework, focuses on identifying goals, designing effective strategies, engaging students, and continuously assessing to improve.
